Agfa at the time announced that they were proud to be the first company to incorporate a Clik! Drive in a digital camera. Therefore was indeed the first digital camera with such a drive. Announced on 1999-09-22. Prior to being marketed, Agfa already gave away free Clik! Drives with every ePhoto 1680 sold to promote the new. These include the Iomega HipZip Digital Audio Player, the Sensory Science Rave MP 2300, and the Agfa ePhoto CL30 Clik. The format saw use in other devices as well but proved to be a commercial failure. It suffered heavy competition from flash-based memory cards. The PocketZip was electro-mechanical and, hence, not as reliable as solid-state.
